Ryan Wyatt, CFP®

Ryan was born and raised in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, PA. He attended The University of Alabama where he earned his degree in finance. After graduation, Ryan moved to Philadelphia, PA and started his career with Vanguard. He spent several years living in Philadelphia before relocating to Richmond, VA and pursuing an opportunity with Charles Schwab.

Ryan recently moved back to Pittsburgh and is very happy to be living and working in the same city as his family and friends.

How would you describe yourself in one sentence?

A people person that is passionate about family and work.

What is something most don’t know about you?

I have always wanted to be fluent in a second language so that I could travel abroad and communicate in their native tongue. For that reason, over a year ago I started taking Spanish classes. I have my work cut out for me, but I can tell that I am making progress.

What do you do in your free time?

Spend time with my family and friends as well as train and compete in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I also enjoy traveling and being outdoors.

What are your wardrobe constants?

If I am not at work any type of outfit that I can be active in.

What is something interesting someone has said about you?

During my youth hockey career one of my coaches nicknamed me, “The Lady Byng of Amateur Hockey.” Each year the National Hockey League presents The Lady Byng Memorial Trophy to one player that exemplifies the best sportsmanship, gentlemanly conduct, and highest standard of playing ability. At the time I was not crazy about the nickname but looking back, I realize it was a compliment.

What are you proud of?

Passing the CFP® and CIMA exam. Pursing worthwhile designations that enhance my technical acumen is something I place a strong focus on. I plan to continue studying and growing over time.
