Eric was born in Akron, OH and attended The University of Akron, which he (and only he) refers to as “The Harvard of the Midwest,” with a degree in Sales Management and Marketing. He’s been a geek his whole life and has been lucky enough to make a career out of his passion for technology. He now lives with his wife and 2 daughters in Avon Lake. He enjoys spending time with his family, their dog Wags, and traveling as much as their busy schedules will allow.
How would you describe yourself in one sentence?
I am the good kind of geek; A creative problem solver, who loves technology for what it can do to simplify and amplify our lives.
What is something most don’t know about you?
When I was 15, I got an audition with a talent agency in Chicago to be on a Disney TV show. You’ve never heard of me before, so obviously, I didn’t get the role. Next logical choice…become an IT guy.
What do you do in your free time?
I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and seeing just how much technology I can inject into a single house. When I need a break from technology, I like to tackle DIY projects that inevitably become more complicated than they looked on YouTube.
What are your wardrobe constants?
Function over form – I like to be comfortable. If you see me on a video call, I’ll probably have a golf shirt on, but there is a 50/50 chance I’m wearing dinosaur pajama pants outside of the camera frame.
What is something interesting someone has said about you?
One client told me, “You’re the only IT person I’ve worked with who talks about technology like it’s a business problem instead of a technology problem.” I’ll take that as a compliment.
What are you proud of?
The ability to constantly adapt, take on new challenges, and explain complex technical problems in a way that people can actually understand.
