Nick Lewandowski, CFA, CFP®

Nick grew up in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. He graduated from Denison University in 2009 with a degree in English (Writing) and German. Nick spent several years working in writing and communications roles entering financial services in 2012. He has since held roles both conducting investment research and advising clients.

Nick and his wife Susan live in Regent Square in Swissvale, PA. They have two cats, Jasper and Zoey, and a betta fish named Rosie.

How would you describe yourself in one sentence?
I work hard, play hard and nap hard.

What is something most don’t know about you?
I am more of an introvert than I seem to most people.

What do you do in your free time?
I keep myself busy with an eclectic mix of hobbies, including golf, flight simulation and fish keeping. I also enjoy cooking and handle most of the dinners at home.

What are your wardrobe constants?
Comfort is priority number one. I am an avid wearer of sweatpants and gym shorts, weather permitting.

What is something interesting someone has said about you?
A self-described psychic told me I have well-balanced energy.

What are you proud of? 
Making a career change from what was essentially a bunch of freelance writing gigs to finance was a long journey and a major accomplishment. The experience impressed upon me that the future is not written in stone. You can accomplish incredible things simply by applying diligent effort and letting go of limiting beliefs. I am most proud of my work when I am able to use my technical skills and knowledge to help others achieve their goals.
