Mary Ann grew up in a small town in south Arkansas and graduated from Arkansas State University with a degree in Accounting. After graduation, she moved to California and began her career in the accounting department of an international company based there. Subsequent moves and jobs included work in accounting and analysis for an industrial construction company and, most recently, a financial services firm. As part of the acquisition of Welsh Hills Financial, Mary Ann is working with True Wealth Design to ensure a smooth transition for clients through 2026.
How would you describe yourself in one sentence?
I am a people-loving introvert who values family, history books, getting things done, learning and beauty.
What is something most don’t know about you?
Four years of my accounting career were spent in Germany working for an international company.
What do you do in your free time?
I enjoy time spent reading, walking for exercise or hiking in the woods, and playing with my four grandchildren.
What are your wardrobe constants?
Whether at work or at home, I wear tailored casual clothing. And always earrings. I don’t walk to the end of the driveway to pick up the mail without earrings.
What is something interesting someone has said about you?
“I love the sound of your voice. I wish it were an option on my Google maps.”
What are you proud of?
I love to entertain and am proud (and happy) when my dining table is surrounded by people having a good time.
